About Pueblo Pro-Choice

Pueblo Pro-Choice is an advocacy group dedicated to the access of reproductive care in Southern Colorado. Our group is comprised of pro-choice advocates, leaders, and supporters. We have a following of over 400 people in the Pueblo community ans surrounding areas. We work with many statewide and national organizations to bring resources and access to reproductive care to Southern Colorado.

Pueblo Pro-Choice works to identify and eliminate barriers to abortion access in Southern Colorado through financial and practical support.

Being pro-choice means that we believe in the fundamental right of individuals to make their own healthcare decisions, including the decision to have an abortion. It means that we trust individuals to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. We support their right to access the healthcare services they need. We recognize that abortion is a complex and deeply personal decision that can be influenced by a variety of factors. We believe that individuals are in the best position to make their own decisions about their bodies and their futures and that they deserve access to the information and resources they need to make those decisions.

Pueblo Pro-Choice proudly practices intersectional feminism.

Being pro-choice means:

  • Standing up for the rights of marginalized communities, who are often disproportionately impacted by restrictive abortion laws.
  • It means fighting for access to comprehensive, reproductive care, including contraception, prenatal care, and postpartum support.
  • It means advocating for policies that support families and communities and that recognize the dignity and autonomy of all individuals.

Ultimately being pro-choice means recognizing that reproductive freedom is a fundamental human right, and that everyone deserves the opportunity to make their own decisions about their bodies and their lives.
